Vice President of Compliance & Quality Affairs
Cheryl Smith joined Mental Health Partnerships in May 2019 and holds the position of Vice President of Compliance and Quality Affairs. She is responsible for providing compliance and recovery/clinical oversight for the agency. In her role she serves as the primary developer and coordinator of systems and initiatives necessary to pursue, achieve, and maintain licensing and credentialing as it relates to best practice standards for service operations. Cheryl is also responsible for designing and implementing strategies, programs, policies and procedures related to participant health and wellness to positively impact wellness and recovery outcomes. In addition, she provides key leadership support in enterprise‐wide strategic planning and the development of a high‐performance Quality & Safety culture as well as partners with community and other providers to create effective programs for the organization while ensuring the changes and/or additions to programs are implemented that reflect the changing needs of participants.
Cheryl has over 20 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector serving the mental health population. She has expertise in program development and clinical oversight as well as operations. Cheryl demonstrates strength in community networking and implementation of evidenced based practices with focus on delivering outcome driven services
She received her MA in Organizational Leadership/Community Counseling from Rider University and completed her undergraduate studies from Rutgers University with a BA in Criminal Justice.
